Information for foreign readers

We are glad that you are interested in visiting the library of Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk.

Please read the information below:

  1. The library is located in building B (the yellow building), first floor, rooms 112-119.
  2. To borrow books create a library account. Come to the lending library (room 114), fill in the reader’s registration form: download and print it or use the registration sheets placed at the entrance to the lending library. Be sure to register your visit by 15:00 at least one workday in advance (due to pandemic)!
  3. Our catalog is available at http://katalog.amuz.gda.pl. Go ahead and browse!
    Find the book/music sheet you need; if you want to borrow anything you should log in to your library account and order it (find the request button in the request tab). When your book is ready to be collected from room 114, we will send you an e-mail. Then visit room 114 Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 14:00.
  4. Using the reading room (room 112) is permitted. You can read there or take books to the photocopying point for a short amount of time and make copies for your private use. You do not have to fill any forms, just register by 15:00 at least one workday in advance! Find the book/music sheet that you need at http://katalog.amuz.gda.pl. Next, write an email to bibliotekarze@amuz.gda.pl including:
    • your name,
    • call number of the item,
    • when you intend to visit the reading room, including the date and approximate time (due to pandemic).
      Remember the opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 15:00.
  5. You can use Fonoteka (the record library, room 119) to listen to our recordings or make a copy of the selected fragments of the recordings. You do not have to fill any forms, just register by 15:00 at least one workday in advance! Find the recordings you need at http://katalog.amuz.gda.pl. Next, write an email to bibliotekarze@amuz.gda.pl including:
    • your name,
    • call number of the item,
    • when you intend to visit Fonoteka, including the date and approximate time (due to pandemic).
      Remember the opening hours: Monday to Friday from 9:00–15:00.
  6. You can use all databases subscribed by the Library: online at home, in dormitories or in the academy buildings.
